The University is open as usual despite the current weather conditions. However, you are advised to exercise extreme caution when moving around campus. Due to the shortage of rock salt, the majority of areas on campus are being treated with grit that does not contain de-icing salts and conditions on roads and underfoot are likely to be significantly worse than has been the case so far this winter.
Given these conditions, you are advised, wherever possible to use public transport to travel to campus. Car Parks on campus will remain untreated. Visitors wishing to meet with specific staff or students at the University in the next few days, are advised to contact the University in advance of your journey as some University personnel may not be available.
