Campus FaithHub-UK Tour 2009: From Dialogue to Action

Campus FaithHub will be a space to foster positive and constructive communication between faith communities on campus, provide skills and leadership training and offer tools for shared local and global action.

5pm Welcome and Introduction
5.15pm Workshops: Choose from 3 interactive training workshops. Hear about volunteer opportunities and programmes that are currently open and recruiting
  • "Faith and Development: Multi-faith action against global poverty" Hannah Wallace-Tony Blair Faith Foundation
  • "From Crisis to Opportunity: Conflict Resolution on campus" Samuel Klein, Salman Shaikh-Coexistence Trust
  • "Turning interfaith activity into political change" Daniella Shaw-Gabay-Three Faiths Forum

Refreshments and Networking

6.45pm Voteclash-"Financial crisis: Should we sort ourselves out before saving the world?" The panel taking part in this live debating platform, designed to help students have their say, includes David Barker, Founder of Whitebox Digital (International poverty reduction NGO), Dr Michael McMahon, Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Warwick and Michael Goodison of Roundabouts UK (National NGO working with the homeless).
